WHY ASSOCIATION
“CHELAINE" du “MILLéNaire"?
The game of marbles is a popular pastime for Haitian children. Amongst all the marbles, there is always one that stands out as the brightest and the most beautiful: the “chelaine". A chelaine is a symbol of beauty, childhood bliss and purity. At ACM, we want every child we serve to become a full-fledged chelaine: a symbol of social and educational success.
The word “millénaire”, or millenium, refers to the realities these children and their families face in the 21st century.
